For nearly 100 years Phytopathology has been considered the premier international archival journal for publication of articles on fundamental research that advances understanding of the nature of plant diseases, the agents that cause them, their spread, the losses they cause, and measures that can be used to control them. Subject areas include bacteriology, host-parasite biochemistry and cell biology, biological control, disease control and pest management, ecology and population biology, epidemiology, disease etiology, host genetics and resistance, mycology, nematology, plant stress and abiotic disorders, postharvest pathology and mycotoxins, and virology. In addition to research articles, mini-reviews provide up-to-date summaries of recent advances in the science.

Pirineos. Revista de Ecología de Montaña publica trabajos relacionados con la dinámica de los ecosistemas de montaña, es decir, con los procesos y las relaciones que se establecen entre los seres vivos y entre estos últimos y el medio ambiente, en un espacio tan peculiar como el de las regiones más elevadas del planeta. Plant Biology is an international journal of broad scope bringing together the different subdisciplines, such as physiology, molecular biology, cell biology, development, genetics, systematics, ecology, evolution, ecophysiology, plant-microbe interactions, and mycology.

Plant Biosystems is the research journal edited by the Societa Botanica Italiana. Published three times a year, the journal is open to papers dealing with all aspects of plant biology, systematics, and ecology. Research studies containing novel and significant findings, from the molecular level to ecosystems and from micro-organisms to flowering plants, are welcome. Plant Biosystems succeeded 'Giornale Botanico Italiano', the historical journal of the Societa Botanica Italiana, from the year 1997. Plant Biosystems has been conceived in consideration of the recent progress in botanical research. An editorial board has been devised to ensure that all the main trends of contemporary plant science are represented. Manuscripts are classified as 'Full Paper', 'Rapid Report' or 'Short Communication'. A Rapid Report is intended for publication, in a concise form, of new and relevant findings. The classification as Rapid Report is determined by the Editor. A Short Communication (no more than two printed pages) is for a concise but independent report. It is not intended for publication of preliminary results. Review articles are also published, but only upon invitation by the Editor. An international panel of highly qualified referees warrants the highest scientific standard. Plant Biotechnology Journal is published by Wiley-Blackwell in association with the Society for Experimental Biology (SEB) and the Association of Applied Biology (AAB). Plant Biotechnology Journal aims to publish high-impact original research and incisive reviews by leading researchers in applied plant science, with an emphasis on molecular plant sciences and their applications through plant biotechnology. We aim to provide a forum for the most important advances in this field, including curiosity-driven studies with the potential for application, strategic research in plant biotechnology, scientific analysis of key issues for the beneficial application of plant sciences and scientific analysis of the performance of the products of plant biotechnology in practice. Plant Biotechnology Journal often receives manuscripts describing research carried out solely in model species. While the Plant Biotechnology Journal will continue to accept exceptional manuscripts describing novel and useful procedures carried out in model species, one of the strengths of the Plant Biotechnology Journal is its ability to focus on application. Therefore, from January 2011 the Plant Biotechnology Journal will immediately reject manuscripts containing high quality, but not exceptional, research relating solely to model species. To be accepted for publication in Plant Biotechnology Journal, original research papers will need to present major new findings with conclusions thoroughly supported by critical experimental evidence and make a substantial contribution to plant biotechnology and/or scientific understanding. Reviews must accordingly provide a high level of insight and synthesis beyond a summary of published work. Sciences underpinning plant biotechnology include functional genomics and proteomics, molecular genetics, physiology, biochemistry and cell biology, with applications through molecular marker, mutant and transgenic approaches. Applications may involve agriculture, horticulture, forestry, biodiversity and conservation, enhanced yield, reduced environmental impact, phytoremediation, environmental sensors, improved foods and food-processing, biofuels and biomaterials including pharmaceuticals from terrestrial, aquatic or marine plant systems including industrial crops and natural systems. Plant Biotechnology Reports offers original, peer-reviewed articles dealing with all aspects of fundamental and applied research in the field of plant biotechnology. Coverage extends to molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, cell and tissue culture, production of secondary metabolites, metabolic engineering, genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics. Plant Biotechnology Reports emphasizes studies on plants indigenous to the Asia-Pacific region and studies related to commercialization of plant biotechnology. Plant Biotechnology Reports does not exclude studies on lower plants including algae and cyanobacteria if these studies are carried out within the aspects described above.The editor in chief is Jang R. Plant Ecology publishes original scientific papers that report and interpret the findings of pure and applied research into the ecology of vascular plants in terrestrial and wetland ecosystems. Empirical, experimental, theoretical and review papers reporting on ecophysiology, population, community, ecosystem, landscape, molecular and historical ecology are within the scope of the journal.  The journal publishes peer-reviewed Research Manuscripts (maximum length of 6000 words) and Research Letters (maximum length of 2500 words, maximum of four tables/figures), reviews and special issues by submission and by invitation. Long monographs (up to 9000 words) may be accepted by the Editor-in-Chief where a case is made by the authors  in relation to work of the highest quality. Plant Ecology and Diversity is an international journal and the new forum of the Botanical Society of Scotland for communicating results and ideas in plant science. All areas of plant biology relating to ecology, evolution and diversity are of interest, including those which explicitly deal with today's highly topical themes, such as biodiversity, conservation and global change. Submissions concerning cold environments world-wide are particularly welcome. Plant Ecology and Diversity considers for publication original research articles, short communications, reviews, and scientific correspondence that explore thought provoking ideas. Unique to Plant Ecology and Diversity is its Scottish section, publishing contributions on aspects of botany and plant ecology particular to Scotland. The journal is open to reporting 'negative results' and 'repeat experiments' that test ecological theories experimentally, in theoretically flawless and methodologically sound papers.
