Analytical Chemistry

ISSN: 0003-2700eISSN: 1520-6882

The Most Cited Journal in Analytical Chemistry

Analytical Chemistry is a peer-reviewed research journal that is devoted to the dissemination of new and original knowledge in all branches of analytical chemistry. Articles fit our scope that describe new or expanded chemical measurement approaches or that uniquely address the principles and performance of existing approaches. Articles may be theoretical or they may report experimental results. Papers dealing with established analytical methods must offer a significantly improved, original application of the method.

Subfields covered in Analytical Chemistry can include the following, as long as the manuscript focuses on improving our understanding of chemical measurements:

  • Analytical operations (e.g., sampling, measurements, data analysis)
  • Bioanalytical chemistry
  • Bioengineering
  • Chemical analysis
  • Environmental sciences
  • Forensics
  • Materials Science
  • Medical Sciences

Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Chemical reactions and selectivity
  • Chemometrics and data processing
  • Computation, machine learning, and informatics
  • Electrochemistry
  • Elemental and molecular characterization
  • Imaging
  • Immunoassays, enzyme assays, and related technologies
  • Instrumentation
  • Mass Spectrometry
  • Microscale and nanoscale analytical systems
  • Nuclear magnetic resonance

Analytical Methods

eISSN: 1759-9679

Analytical Methods welcomes early applications of new analytical and bioanalytical methods and technology demonstrating the potential for societal impact. We require that methods and technology reported in the journal are sufficiently innovative, robust, accurate, and compared to other available methods for the intended application. Developments with interdisciplinary approaches are particularly welcome. Systems should be proven with suitably complex and analytically challenging samples. We encourage developments within, but not limited to, the following technologies and applications: global health, point-of-care and molecular diagnostics; biosensors and bioengineering; drug development and pharmaceutical analysis; applied microfluidics and nanotechnology; -omics studies, such as proteomics, metabolomics or glycomics; environmental, agricultural and food science; neuroscience; biochemical and clinical analysis; forensic analysis; industrial process and method development.

Angewandte Chemie International Edition

ISSN: 1433-7851eISSN: 1521-3773

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, with its excellent Impact Factor of 11.829 (2009) strengthens its leading position among the general chemistry journals. It is one of the prime chemistry journals in the world, with an Impact Factor higher than those of comparable journals. Moreover, it is the only journal in the field delivering a stimulating mixture of Review Articles, Highlights and Communications weekly. The Reviews summarize the important results of recent research on topical subjects in all branches of chemistry, point to unresolved problems and discuss possible developments. The Highlights provide concise evaluations of current trends in chemical research. The Communications are critically selected and report on the latest research results, making the journal indispensable to the chemist who wants to stay well informed. Angewandte Chemie International Edition also regularly publishes Nobel lectures in chemistry and related fields. ISSN: 1433-7851 (print). 1521-3773 (online). CODEN: ACIEF5. Volume 50. 52 Issues in 2011. Masthead (PDF) How to cite: To make sure that references to this journal are correctly recorded and resolved (for example in CrossRef or ISI Web of Science), please use the following abbreviated title in any citations: 'Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.' (punctuation may vary according to the style of the citing journal).
