The scope of the journal is international in two senses: it presents to a worldwide readership a view of the urban policies of particular countries, and it encourages dialogue among researchers, policy makers and practitioners in the region.Urban Policy and Research seeks to develop better links between theoretical and empirical research, and practice. It seeks to stimulate informed debate about urban issues by publishing material from a wide range of theoretical and research approaches.While there is an emphasis on Australian and New Zealand urban policy, Urban Policy and Research welcomes articles of relevance to our core readership to encourage an outward looking perspective among scholars and practitioners.Peer Review StatementAll research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and refereeing by at least two anonymous reviewers. A peer-reviewed jornal, Urban Studies provides an international forum of social and economic contributions to the fields of urban and regional planning. Since then, the journal has expanded to encompass the increasing range of disciplines and approaches that have been brought to bear on urban and regional problems.

The Urban Water Journal provides a forum for the research and professional communities dealing with water systems in the urban environment, directly contributing to the discussion on sustainable development. Particular emphasis is placed on the analysis of interrelationships and interactions between the individual water systems, urban water bodies (including groundwater) and the environment. The Journal encourages the adoption of an integrated approach to solve the numerous problems associated with sustainable urban water management.The Urban Water Journal focuses on the water-related infrastructure in the city; namely potable water supply and distribution, sewerage and storm drainage. Specific topics include: network management, operation and rehabilitation; demand management and levels of service, water recycling and source control at multiple scales, as well as potable and wastewater treatment systems, where they relate to and interact with their respective networks. Papers discussing issues related to the monitoring, utilisation and management of urban groundwater are encouraged, as are papers concerned with water-sensitive planning and design (including analysis of interactions of the urban water cycle with city planning and landscaping), decision-making and informatics support, operational and asset management and associated economics. Utrecht Journal of International and European Law (previously Merkourios) is an Open Access, peer-reviewed, student-led law journal, focusing on international and European law.

The journal aims to contribute to legal scholarship on international and European law by promoting these fields' progressive development and providing an international forum for interaction between academia, practitioners and students.

The Utrecht Law Review is an open-access peer-reviewed journal which aims to offer an international academic platform for cross-border legal research. In the first place, this concerns research in which the boundaries of the classic branches of the law (private law, criminal law, constitutional and administrative law, European and public international law) are crossed and connections are made between these areas of the law, amongst others from a comparative law perspective. In addition, the journal welcomes research in which classic law is brought face to face with not strictly legal disciplines such as philosophy, economics, political sciences and public administration science.
The journal was established in 2005 and is affiliated to the Utrecht University School of Law.
