The Journal of Theoretical Biology is the leading forum for theoretical perspectives that give insight into biological processes. It covers a very wide range of topics and is of interest to biologists in many areas of research, including:• Cell Biology• Developmental Biology• Ecology• Evolution• Immunology• Infectious Diseases• Mathematical Modeling, Statistics, and Data Bases• Medical Sciences and Plant Pathology• Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry• PhysiologyPlease note that the biological significance of the problem being studied should be clearly stated.Acceptable papers are those that bear significant importance on the biology being presented, and not on the mathematical analysis, per se. Papers that include some data will be considered, including those that contain comparative study, statistical data analysis, mathematical proof, computer simulations, experiments, field observations, or even philosophical arguments, which are all methods to support or reject theoretical ideas. However, there should be a concerted effort to make papers intelligible to biologists in the chosen field.Highly speculative papers not based on current biological knowledge will not be accepted. Also not acceptable are papers in which only mathematics is utilized, or standard statistical methods are applied to existing genomic data, without new theoretical perspective or biologically novel insight.Comment on theoretical issues or on papers published in the journal is welcomed in the form of Letters to the Editors.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. The Journal of Theoretical Politics is an international peer reviewed journal one of whose principal aims is to foster the development of theory in the study of political processes. JTP provides a forum for the publication of original papers seeking to make genuinely theoretical contributions to the study of politics.
This multidisciplinary journal publishes high-quality, original papers in all areas of probability theory, including probability on semigroups, groups, vector spaces, other abstract structures, and random matrices. Journal of Theoretical Probability provides mathematicians and researchers in physics, engineering, statistics, and computer science with a peer-reviewed forum for the exchange of vital ideas in the field of theoretical probability.
